bismillah

Walaqad arsalna moosa biayatina ila firAAawna wamalaihi faqala innee rasoolu rabbi alAAalameen(a)

And assuredly We-SWT sent Musa-AS with Our-SWT Signs to the Pharaoh and his chiefs, and he said: Verily I am a Messenger-AS of the Rabb-SWT of the worlds.

(43:46)

Falamma jaahum biayatina itha hum minha yadhakoon(a)

Then when he came to them with Our-SWT Signs, lo! They were laughing at those Signs.

(43:47)

Wama nureehim min ayatin illa hiya akbaru min okhtiha waakhathnahum bi(a)lAAathabi laAAallahum yarjiAAoon(a)

And not a Sign We-SWT showed them but it was greater than its like, and We-SWT seized them with chastisement that perchance they might turn.

(43:48)

Waqaloo ya ayyuha a(l)sahiru odAAu lana rabbaka bima AAahida AAindaka innana lamuhtadoon(a)

And they said: Magician! Supplicate your Rabb-SWT for us for what He-SWT has covenanted with you; verily we shall let ourselves be directed.

(43:49)

Falamma kashafna AAanhumu alAAathaba itha hum yankuthoon(a)

Then when We-SWT had removed from them the chastisement, lo! They were breaking their promise.

(43:50)

Wanada firAAawnu fee qawmihi qala ya qawmi alaysa lee mulku misra wahathihi alanharu tajree min tahtee afala tubsiroon(a)

And the Pharaoh proclaimed among his people saying: My people! Is not mine the kingdom of Egypt and these rivers flowing underneath me? Do you not see?

(43:51)

Am ana khayrun min hatha allathee huwa maheenun wala yakadu yubeen(u)

Aye! I am better than this one who is contemptible, and unable even to make his speech plain.

(43:52)

Falawla olqiya AAalayhi aswiratun min thahabin aw jaa maAAahu almalaikatu muqtarineen(a)

Why, then, have the bracelets of gold not been set upon him, and why have the angels not come with him accompanying?

(43:53)

Fa(i)stakhaffa qawmahu faataAAoohu innahum kanoo qawman fasiqeen(a)

Then he incited his people and they obeyed him: They were ever a transgressing people.

(43:54)

Falamma asafoona intaqamna minhum faaghraqnahum ajmaAAeen(a)

So when they angered Us-SWT , We-SWT took vengeance on them, and We-SWT drowned them all.

(43:55)

FajaAAalnahum salafan wamathalan lilakhireen(a)

And We-SWT made them a precedent, and an example to those after.

(43:56)

In The Name of Allah-SWT the Most Gracious, The Most Merciful
SECRETS OF REVELATION:

These infidels who suggest affluence as the yardstick for Prophethood can be compared to those unto whom Prophet Musa-AS was sent, with miracles and Signs, to the Pharaoh and his chieftains, who ruled and represented the nation for which he was raised Prophet Musa-AS announced his Messengership of the Rabb-SWT Who-SWT provides for all the worlds, and put forth miracles to substantiate his claim. They made fun of him and despite all evidences and the miracles did not submit. Allaah-SWT afflicted them with diseases to pave the way to penitence through pain and misery.

Duly humbled, they would concede and request him to ask his Rabb-SWT to allay their sufferings so that they accept the Message and are guided. But when Allaah-SWT removed the affliction because of His-SWT Prophet-AS’s prayer, they broke their promise and refused to budge. The Pharaoh befooled his people by absurd arguments like his rule over a magnificent kingdom with splendid palaces and gardens through which rivers ran. They must, therefore, take note of the superiority he enjoyed over Prophet Musa-AS, who had no status nor could he speak eloquently. In other words, the Pharaoh claimed that the Prophet,-AS had no strong evidences nor was his speech clear because of stammering, though it had been cured and the proofs he had presented were as bright as the daylight.

It was only to refute the Prophet-AS,  that the Pharaoh took to falsehood with his bogus arguments, like his not wearing the bracelets of gold if lie was truly Allaah-SWT ’s Messenger-AS and was Allaah-SWT without wealth? Or that legions of angels should have been sent along with His-SWT Messenger-AS for ready testimony! The Pharaoh's nation fell for his arguments and agreed with him, being a nation immoral in the first place. The effects generated by immorality are that evil counsel is readily accepted. However, Allaah-SWT avenged the wrongdoers and drowned them in the sea, leaving a tale bygone in history and an admonition for those to follow.
